White Wizard Philodendron Plant Care Guide
Like most Philodendrons, the White Wizard grows exceptionally well when left to it’s own devices. Just don’t water it too much—it hates that!
Sunlight Needs: The White Wizard produces the best varigation when grown in an area that receives 3-4 hours of bright, indirect sunlight each day. Too much sunlight can scorch the sensitive white on the plant, so it’s crucial to keep it out of direct sunlight.
Watering: This Philodendron is wildly sensitive to over watering. Only water when the top half of soil feels dry, or when the plant leaves are noticeably droopy. The white stripes will start to brown if the plant is being overwatered.
Temperature: These plants are not cold tolerant, and are sensitive to heat. It’s best to keep them in an area that is consistently 70 degrees with no warm or cold drafts.
Common Problems: Fungal leaf spot is one of the most common problems of a White Wizard. These appear like small, brown yellow spots on the surface of the leaf. If your plant is struggling, place it in isolation and treat with a copper-based fungicide.
Fertilizer Needs: Fertilizer once in the Spring and Summer, but never in the winter or you’ll risk fertilizer burn.

The easiest way to determine the difference is to look at the coloring of the plant stems. White Knights have a maroon stem, whereas the stem of the White Wizard is fully green.
